Why am I receiving text messages on my eSIM?

When using a Simgiga eSIM while traveling abroad, you may receive text messages in foreign languages from unfamiliar numbers. This is a normal occurrence and is often related to automatic notifications from the network provider. Here's a breakdown of what these messages typically mean:

1. Messages in Vietnamese

Many eSIMs for Vietnam work with Vinaphone, a major network provider in Vietnam. When you use these eSIMs, you may receive automatic messages in Vietnamese. These messages are typically default notifications from the network carrier and are not spam. They could include welcome messages or other network-related information.

2. British Phone Number Notification

If you're using an eSIM from Three UK (such as eSIM for Europe), you may receive a message informing you that a British phone number has been assigned to you, even if you're not in the UK.

Note: While in a foreign country, you can only use mobile data on this number and cannot make calls or send texts using it.

No Need to Worry

These messages are completely normal when using an eSIM abroad. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Simgiga’s customer support, and we'll be happy to assist you!
