Finding Out How Much Data You’ll Need for International Travel:

To estimate your data usage while traveling abroad, consider the following factors:

  • Apps: Streaming, video calls, and social media apps consume more data.
  • Email and Messaging: Sending regular messages and emails takes minimal data.
  • Maps: GPS navigation apps use moderate data.

For a rough idea:

  • 1 hour of streaming video: ~1GB of data.
  • 1 hour of browsing or social media: ~150MB-250MB.
  • 1 hour of video calling: ~300MB-1GB.

To get an exact estimate for your specific travel plans, you can check with your eSIM provider, as they often provide recommendations based on your destination and usage patterns.
