Does iPhone SE (1st generation) support eSIM?

The iPhone SE 1st generation, launched in 2016, does not support eSIM technology. Even with subsequent iOS updates, this model remains incompatible with eSIM. eSIM is an embedded chip integrated into a device’s motherboard, enabling mobile plan usage without a physical SIM card. Unfortunately, the 1st generation iPhone SE lacks this chip, rendering it unable to support eSIM regardless of software updates. This advanced feature was introduced in later models, starting with the iPhone XS and XR. You can explore a list of eSIM-compatible iPhones for more options.

Please note that eSIM availability can vary depending on your region or the provider you purchase your device from, so it’s advisable to confirm with your carrier for specific details.
