How can I configure APNs for my eSIM?

If you’ve scanned your Simgiga eSIM QR code and enabled roaming, but still can't access the internet, the issue could be related to the APN (Access Point Name) settings. The APN is what connects your device to the network, and it varies by country. Although APN settings are typically configured automatically when switching to a new eSIM, sometimes they need to be set manually.

How to Fix APN Issues:

  1. Find Your APN:
The first step is to find out which APN to use for your destination. This information is usually provided in the email you receive from your eSIM provider. For example, for Simgiga eSIM in Malaysia, the APN is "internet" (you’ll find this in the email).
  2. Manually Set Your APN:

For iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings > Cellular
  2. Select your Simgiga eSIM plan
  3. Choose Mobile Data Network
  4. Enter the APN code from the email sent by Simgiga for your destination.

For Android:

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Networks > Access Point Name
  2. Enter the APN code provided in your Simgiga email.
  3. If you prefer, you can also leave the APN field blank, but entering the correct code ensures better connectivity.

Still Having Issues?

If the problem persists after configuring the APN, don’t hesitate to contact Simgiga's support team for assistance. You can reach out via online chat or by email for further troubleshooting.

With these steps, you should be able to enjoy stable internet access with your Simgiga eSIM while traveling abroad!
