Does iPad Air series support eSIM?

You're right! The iPad Air series, including models like the iPad Air and iPad Air 2, does not support eSIM. These models are designed for use with traditional nano-SIM cards and do not have built-in support for eSIM technology.

eSIM technology, which allows users to activate a mobile plan without a physical SIM card, is only available in newer iPad models starting with the 2018 iPad Pro models and later.

If you want to use eSIM, you'll need to upgrade to a newer iPad model that supports eSIM, such as the 2018 iPad Pro, iPad Air (2020 and later), or iPad mini (2021 and later) models. Make sure the device has 4G LTE connectivity, as eSIM is only supported on iPads with cellular capabilities.

You can check out the list of eSIM-compatible iPads for more details and options.
