How can I receive SMS and calls while connected with my data-only eSIM?

If your Simgiga eSIM is data-only, you can still receive calls and SMS through another line. To use your primary line for voice and text while using a data-only eSIM, follow these steps:

Setting Your Primary Line for Calls and SMS:

On iOS Devices:

  1. Enable Primary Line: Go to Settings > Cellular / Mobile Data > Primary Line / Main Line. Turn on “Turn on this line.”
  2. Set Default Voice Line: Go to Cellular > Default Voice Line and choose your Primary Line.
  3. Select eSIM for Mobile Data: Go back to Cellular / Mobile Data and select your eSIM for mobile data.

On Samsung Devices:

Option 1: Via Quick Settings Panel

  1. Swipe down to open the Quick Settings Panel.
  2. Select Calls, then choose your Primary Line.
  3. Repeat for SMS.
  4. Ensure your eSIM is selected for mobile data.

Option 2: Via Settings Menu

  1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Card Manager.
  2. Under the Preferred SIM Card section, select Calls, then choose your Primary Line.
  3. Repeat for SMS.
  4. Ensure your eSIM is selected for mobile data.

On Google Pixel Devices:

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs.
  2. Select your Primary Line and turn on Use SIM (if not already on).
  3. Under Calls Preference, select your Primary Line. Confirm the plan for calls when prompted.
  4. Repeat for SMS Preference.
  5. Ensure your eSIM is selected for mobile data.

After completing these steps, your Primary Line will be set for voice calls and SMS, while your eSIM will handle mobile data.

Important Note:

To receive calls and SMS, make sure to enable data roaming on your device (as required by your network carrier). Keep in mind that this will incur roaming charges, so it's highly recommended to check your home network carrier's roaming charges before enabling this feature.
